January Ipsy Bag

I’m always super curious to see what others get in their Ipsy bags, so I decided to make it a monthly post of mine.

This blog isn’t a fashion blog or a beauty blog, but I will post things that interest me or simply things that come to mind. With that being said, here are the following items I received in my Ipsy.

(It’s my first time doing this, so bear with me and the terrible lighting. I was literally in the darkest room in my house — not by choice!)

Theme: Welcome to Metropolis

  • Nail Polish
  • Lipgloss
  • Perfume
  • Eyeshadow Pigment
  • Tweezers

The first description will describe the item, brand and shade along with a description of the product by the Ipsy website. Some descriptions are altered to make to make it easier, some are taken verbatim from the site.

The second description will be my opinions — how they feel, look, quality and such.

Pretty Woman Nail Polish in the color I Can’t Deal: grey nude shade

Opinionsopaque, dries pretty quickly, doesn’t have an overwhelming nail polish smell, also has a large brush (kind of makes it hard to paint smaller nails)Trust Fund Beauty Lipgasm in the color Blame Game: easy buildable, one coat delivered a rosy sheen, two coats added a more noticeable flush to our lips

Opinionssheer, it really doesn’t build up, smells like Elmers glue, color pay off doesn’t match the color in the tube, leaves slight oily residue upon removal with tissueNOTE Fragrances in the scent Pink Peony: pink peony + citrus + musk + blond amber = a totally modern take on a delicate, girly scent

Opinionssmells like peony, but not too harsh, very subtle, lasts a couple of hours (I took a nap, woke up and the smell of the perfume was no longer there)Star Crushed Minerals in the shade Aged To Perfection Champagne: crazy velvety texture, neutral metallic

Opinions: comes off sheer when smoothed out, extremely sparkly, powder-like feelThe Vintage Cosmetic Company in the shade Rose Gold: high quality stainless steel with the perfect diagonal slant

Opinions: totally love, small, sharp, perfect for hard to get hairs

This concludes my first Ipsy post! Overall the products weren’t too bad, aside from the lipgloss which I’ll be giving to my sister. I’m excited to see what next months theme and contents will be. I’m pretty sure it’ll have something to do with Valentine’s Day, so that’ll be exciting.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post! Let me know if you like the idea of having this post monthly and what you think I can do to improve it!
