I definitely saw this on Life Of An Anxious Teen’s blog and I totally had to do it myself! I’m a sucker for all things Christmas and quirky tags!
1. What’s your favorite Christmas movie?
Oh geez, I have a few favorite Christmas movies. Elf is definitely a classic, but I also like The Polar Express even though it’s rather kiddish. Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas is an all-time favorite! Four Christmases is also my favorite comedy holiday movie. And last but not least, The Ultimate Christmas Present was my favorite growing up! I mean, DCOM? Who could resist that!?
2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
We typically open our Christmas gifts on Christmas Eve, being that it’s my brother’s birthday. Christmas Day we get together as a whole family and open up presents from other relatives.
3. Do you have a favorite Christmas moment?
My favorite Christmas moment was probably when it snowed in 2004. I live in Southern Texas and truthfully we hardly ever get cold weather, so that year was pretty magical and very Christmassy.
4. Favorite festive food?
This is totally going to sound weird, but my aunt makes this pizza pasta type thing and I love it. Usually we have brisket and tamales for Christmas lunch/dinner, but my aunt always brings her pasta no matter what!
5. Favorite Christmas scent?
Oh hands down, peppermint. But I do also like the smell of evergreens!
6. Favorite Christmas gift?
My favorite Christmas gift was probably when I got my 64GB rose gold iPhone 6s Plus last year. I totally love this baby!
7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
We normally have cake and our own family thing going on. We also celebrate my brother’s birthday as he was born on Christmas Eve. (Random senseless fact: one of my cousins was born on Christmas Day and another one was born on New Year’s Eve!)
8. What tops your tree?
We didn’t actually have a tree this year, but our tree topper changes to whatever we can find. I know growing up we had an angel, but then her head broke off a few years back. But if I remember correctly, last Christmas we had a star as our topper.
9. As a kid, what was the one crazy, wild, extravagant gift you always asked for, but never received?
I’m pretty sure I asked for a pony, but honestly I’m terrified of horses. I mean not really, but at the time I was. I also have wanted a MacBook the last few years but haven’t gotten one, so I’d say that. (Before anyone makes a remark about how MacBooks aren’t “expensive” please remember I have two other siblings. Not to mention, I’m not gonna let my parents drop almost two grand on a laptop for me!)
10. What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
I think just being around family. I know that’s corny and cliché, but I really do enjoy having my family over. I also just love watching the faces of the little kids as they open up their presents, totally priceless!
